  • Ladies' Progressive Dinner-Saturday, March 16th
    Calling all ladies!
    Progressive Dinner is THIS Saturday! Hope you all can make it! It starts at 5:00 P.M. at Cheryl Janss's house. Please see Ashley Day if you have any questions!
    Check with friends if you would like to car pool! We will be at each house for 30-45 mins so join us when you can! Should be a great time!

  • BRBC Prayer List
    Each week we put together a prayer list that is typed up and put in
    the bulletin. We hope this will be helpful in knowing how to pray specifically for the needs of those in our church.

    BRBC Prayer List
    Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

    • Freedom we have in our country to worship and attend church.

    Prayer Requests:

    • Barb Thumma's parents, John Mark and Ruth King, are making decisions as they prepare to leave their country home of 47 years. Pray for a smooth sale of the house and backhoe. Pray for their strength to make decisions about how to downsize and move to Kalona or Wellman.

    • Krista Gates: She is pregnant and experiencing a lot of sickness. Pray for health of the baby and that they would be able to bring a healthy baby home come August.

    • Rodger Burnett: Pray that Rodger will obtain God's guidance
      and wisdom as he seeks to get more sleep at night

    • William Loeffers: Healing of his eyesight and kidneys as he undergoes dialysis

    • Pray for spiritual growth in our church and opportunities for us to share Christ in our community

    • Pray for our President and leaders

    • Pray for our Pastor and family

    • Kids4Truth: Fruitful ministry; children would hide God's Word in their heart; growth in number of kids; wisdom for the teachers and helpers

    • Youth Group: Pray for Nate Day as he leads youth group this year; growth in teens' walk with Lord

  • Missionary of the Month: Rory & Kristy Moore
    Rory & Kristy Moore serve as missionaries in Kpalimé,Togo at the Village of Light School for the Blind. The mission of the Village of Light school is to educate sight-impaired children and to teach them a trade. Rory serves in administration & teaching, as well as equipping local pastors.

    Prayer Requests:
    • Additional monthly support ($265 shortage)

    • Salvation of the 39 students

    • Funds needed to pay teacher retirement fees ($6,500)

    • Funds needed to pay teacher/employee salaries ($20,000 for the year)

    • Safety as they travel to South Africa for the regional ABWE conference at the end of March; travelling back to the US in May

    • General health (Back & shoulder issues)
  • Betty Whorton Memorial
    Betty Whorton, long-time member of Blair Ridge, went home to be with the Lord last week. Her family has arranged for a memorial fund at the church. If you would like to give something in Betty's memory, please make a designation in the offering. Any questions, please see Gary McCool.
  • Fellowship Dinner-Sunday, March 31st
    We will be having an Italian themed fellowship dinner on Sunday, March 31st following the morning service. Please bring the following (by last name:
    A-H: 2 jars marinara sauce and 1 lb. cooked hamburger, or a pan of lasagna, or a pizza
    J-O: 1 chopped head of lettuce, a dressing and 2 loaves of garlic bread
    P-Z: 2 desserts or a double portion of your favorite

    Julie will be out of town, so Rob will be cooking spaghetti. If you are able to help Rob in the kitchen or with set up/clean up, he would really appreciate it!
  • Ladies Brunch-Saturday, April 6th @ 10:00 A.M.
    Join us for our last brunch before our summer break!
    Donna Smith will be hosting this brunch at her house in Amana! I am excited to hear Donna's story of God's redemption in her life. Join us at 10 A.M. for fun fellowship and yummy food!
    Please bring something to share!
  • Help Needed!
    William Loeffers is having eye surgery in West Des Moines on April 4th. He is looking for someone who is able to give him a ride to & from WDM on the 4th and also to Iowa City for a follow-up appointment on April 5th. His appointment in WDM is at 8:00 A.M. & the Iowa City appointment is at 1:20 P.M. If you can be of assistance to William, please let him know.

    William Loeffers is also looking for a temporary support person to help him out in the event of him receiving a kidney transplant. This person would
    need to be able to help him get around, fix meals, etc. and take him
    to his appointments for the 6-8 weeks following the transplant. They
    would need to be able to stay with him at his home, let him stay at
    their home, or check on him daily.
    He needs to have the support person in place before he can even be put
    on the transplant list. This person also needs to be able to travel
    with William to his evaluation appointment in Iowa City on May 28
    from 7:30 am until mid-afternoon.
