Highlights

  • Scripture Preparation for Sunday's Message
Read James 2:14 in preparation for Sunday's message.
  • Justification: James 2:14
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. However, we need to put our faith into practice through good works. Good works will accompany a true salvation as outward evidence of our faith.
  • Sunday Evening Discipleship-Sundays 6:00 PM
This Sunday will be our final meeting of Sunday Evening Discipleship until fall. We will be wrapping up our video series on the topic of faith by Paul Tripp.
  • Wednesday Night Ministries-Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 PM
We've wrapped up our first year of Kids4Truth. However, to celebrate everyone's hard work, kids & parents are invited to join us at AirFX Wednesday, May 1st, at 6:30 pm. Pizza will be provided! If you are planning on attending, please go online to their website to sign a waiver so it won't be as hectic to get them done that night.
Any questions, please see Ashley Day.
It's been an enjoyable year teaching your children! Hope to see you all back next year!
  • Help Needed!
William Loeffers is also looking for a temporary support person to help him out in the event of him receiving a kidney transplant. This person would
need to be able to help him get around, fix meals, etc. and take him
to his appointments for the 6-8 weeks following the transplant. They
would need to be able to stay with him at his home, let him stay at
their home, or check on him daily.
He needs to have the support person in place before he can even be put
on the transplant list. This person also needs to be able to travel
with William to his evaluation appointment in Iowa City on May 28
    from 7:30 am until mid-afternoon.
If you can help out, please let William know. It would be greatly
    appreciated!

Everyone needs help from time to time, especially in the midst of painful circumstances and difficult trials. In this short book, a highly respected biblical counselor and successful author offers practical guidance for all Christians - pastors and laypeople alike - who want to develop their "helping skills" when it comes to walking alongside hurting people.
Written out of the conviction that friends are the best helpers, this accessible introduction to biblical counseling will equip believers to share their burdens with one another through gentle words of wisdom and kind acts of love. This book is written for those eager to see God use ordinary relationships and conversations between ordinary Christians to work extraordinary miracles in the lives of his people.

  • Ministry Opportunity
We need help keeping the church clean! Would you be willing to give a little of your time to help? We need help keeping the floors vacuumed, windows cleaned, and trash taken out, along with a little odds and ends. We are hoping to create a monthly schedule, and if we get enough people you would only have to help once a year! Please let Ashley Day know if you would be willing to help in this way.
  • Nursery Workers Needed
We are thankful that our nursery is blossoming with new babies! Of course, that means we need help again in the nursery, which is a good thing! We are looking for some people to help serve in the nursery during the church service and eventually in the Sunday School hour. Would you pray about serving in this area at church? This may seem like an insignificant way to serve, but it is not! Investing in the youth of our church is a great privilege and opportunity! We would love to have you serve in this way.
Please contact Ashley Day if you be willing to serve in the nursery.
  • BRBC Prayer List
Each week we put together a prayer list that is typed up and put in
the bulletin. We hope this will be helpful in knowing how to pray specifically for the needs of those in our church.
If you would like to be added to the prayer list please let Ashley Day know([email protected])!
Please include how we can specifically pray for you.

    BRBC Prayer List
